Adult CPR/AED:

This class covers emergency scene size-up and keeping yourself safe, legal liabilities, patient consent, preventing infectious disease transmission, how to differentiate between responsive and non-responsive patients, and how to collect appropriate medical history from patients.

Learn how to respond to cardiac emergencies in adults, including the signs and symptoms of heart attack in men and women, cardiac arrest, how to do Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with and without rescue breathing, and when and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Many people choose to combine their CPR/AED course with a First Aid course and certification.

Prerequisites:  Students must be able to demonstrate understanding of class concepts, and physically perform the skills presented.

Course Length: 5.5 hours

Certification: After successful completion of the class, students will receive an American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED Certification that is valid for two years. Certificates are digital (PDF files) and can be printed, saved, or emailed.

Standards: This class meets OSHA and workplace safety requirements.

Continuing Education Units: Continuing Education Units are available for this course. Please contact us for more information.

First Aid Review Courses:

Taken a Basic First Aid course every two years your entire career? Is your certification still current? Then consider taking a review course instead of a full-length classroom course. Reviews are about half the length of a full class, and covers any applicable updates in science and techniques, and a hands-on skills check.

Prerequisites:  Students must have a current First Aid certification, or one that has been expired for less than 60 days. Students must be able to demonstrate understanding of class concepts, and physically perform the skills presented.

Course Length: Varies by topics covered, but typically 1-1.5 hours.

Certification: After successful completion of the class, students will receive an American Red Cross First Aid Certification (Adult and/or Pediatric) that is valid for two years. Certificates are digital (PDF files) and can be printed, saved, or emailed.

Standards: Review classes still meet OSHA and workplace safety requirements.

Continuing Education Units: Continuing Education Units are available for this course. Please contact us for more information.
