Designed for those who risk on-the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids, the course teaches how bloodborne pathogens are spread. You’ll learn how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material.
Prerequisites: Students must be able to demonstrate understanding of class concepts, and physically perform the skills presented.
Course Length: 1 hour.
Certification: After successful completion of the class, students will receive an American Red Cross Bloodborne Pathogens Certification that is valid for one year. Certificates are digital (PDF files) and can be printed, saved, or emailed.
Standards: This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. After taking this class, be sure to talk to your employer about your workplace’s specific policies and procedures.
